Germany are World Cup champions thanks to Mario Goetze’s extra-time winner at the Maracana.
After chesting down Andre Schurrle’s pass, the Bayern Munich attacker beat Argentina goalkeeper Sergio Romero with his left foot to give Germany the lead in the 113th minute.
They would not relinquish it, and as a result will get a fourth star above their badge.
After 90 scoreless minutes of regular time failed to produce a winner, Gotze produced an impressive finish from Andre Schurrle's cross to end Argentina's stout resistance.
